Hello and welcome to Prosquid

   Alright so you guys may or may not know, but David and I are planning on starting Prosquid.com, a site thatââ,¬â,,¢s essentially a videogame blog similar to Destructoid, Tiny Cartridge, ect. but will offer some more things. This board is going to be used for people who want to contribute to the site, now the site is nowhere near close to being open but donââ,¬â,,¢t give up hope yet.
Here is a list of things we need to do to get the site running:

      1. Make a Wordpress theme resembling the design I made

      2. Organizing who our writers, editors, scouts (people who will look for some content off sites), and video
      personnel (more on this later).

      3. Finally advertising (also more on this later).

   Here is the few things we are looking for as far as content goes:

Articles- We need well written articles about something interesting about gaming. This could be about the art style of a certain game that is amazing and why it exceeds.  It can be about what games people should be playing and why. You must also include some screenshots of the game to go along with the article.

Blog Finds- We will be needing scouts, people to go to sites and find things that we can post about for example an Etsy scout that can find some neat videogame related merchandise, someone who can go on Deviantart and find some great new fan art, someone to go on Youtube, ect. You will need to write a small description on the find.

Reviews- We want to have a review every now and then when a big game goes out. We are looking for people to review the games. We have yet to decide on the scaling if we want a ââ,¬Å"Buy ,Rent, Ignoreââ,¬Â� or a ââ,¬Å"1-5,-10ââ,¬Â� scale. We are looking for video as well as written reviews, the video reviews will be harder to do since footage is somewhat difficult unless you have the equipment. We will also provide some video intros to go along with them.

Videos- Aside from video reviews, we are also looking for other forms of videos as in maybe a top 10 list and some coverage of events such as PAX, PAX East, Comic Con, Baltimore Comic Con, and other such events.  You can also do some other things as long as you run it by us first. For example, a friend and I are planning on having a monthly bad fan fiction reading in which we find the worst fan fictions and read them in character.

Comics- We are planning on having a comic every two weeks or maybe even weekly. If you have ideas it would be great help, we already have some ideas planned up.

Shop- This is the least of our worries but we are planning on opening a shop in which we are hoping to add some video game related merch. We have some panned but are worrying about the to-do list first.

   Now here are some things you guys might be wondering about:
Payment- Now of course youââ,¬â,,¢re probably saying ââ,¬Å"Well how much am I getting paid?ââ,¬Â�, and we are saying ââ,¬Å"Nothingââ,¬Â¦.yetââ,¬Â�. We are poor and Irish so for now this site wonââ,¬â,,¢t be profiting until we get some traffic, once we get traffic, we will reimburse all contributors. Now this might take some time so donââ,¬â,,¢t give up hope.

Advertising- As we mentioned above, we are poor. But we have some ideas of marketing; we will be making stickers and some posters to hang around some areas. We will be giving away some of this stuff at some cons as well. And I am currently working on some Minecraft related things to post on reddit for when the site opens to maybe get some traffic. Also for our first opening we will have a contest in which we will give out a brand new game to whoever tweets about our site, they must have at least 20 followers, and we will also have second place winners and stuff. We will also plan to have a monthly game give away every month.  Now if you are curious about being part of the staff post in this thread with questions and what you want to do(we are hoping for re-occurring article types like monthly top 10, videogame music, ect.). We are very open to suggestions and please donââ,¬â,,¢t lose hope since it might take about 2 months for us to launch and get things ready. Also no stupid topics in this board and thread please (Hiro Iââ,¬â,,¢m looking at you).
