you cannot possibly receive any meaningful interpenetration suitable to your taste from such a diluted response. listen to as much of their music as you personally can, and if you're an individual with some sense, ideas and connections will soon flow. otherwise, magical mystery tour is one of my favorites.

Actually, buy/pirate/rent the anthologies. The videos, I mean.

You'll get a better appreciation for the band and music. Do it do it.

If you're interested in the Beatles then you might as well just go ahead and torrent their whole discography. They're the kind of band where if you like one album, you're eventually going to get all of them.

As for which album to start with, I'd say 1, because it gives you a good overview of their whole career. Plus a lot of the songs aren't on any of their albums, so when you do get around to listening to their legitimate albums none of the surprise will be spoiled.
