After much thinking on the matter and through hours of deliberation with known experts in the field, I've come to the conclusion that she was well aware it was you who did the deed. The real issue at hand is why she blamed her cat, despite the convenient coincidence of it walking in as she smelled the odor.

But first, let's look at the inconsitancies in the story itself. Maybe you can clarify the exact sequence of events in better detail.
We all know that the negative odor is rarely instantaneous after leaving the body. It takes time to travel. In your story, the female smells the odor as soon as the cat enters. But, see, that would immedietely rule out the cat unless said cat was right next to said female.

So we can assume the girl was well aware it was you who defaced the air of her room, but why blame the cat? Let's outline some reasons.

  • A.The girl wishes to possibly defuse a potentially awkward discussion before it even happens

  • B. The girl is utterly repulsed, but taking the blame off of you helps her cope

-C. While she knows it's you, she's just covering her own base in case you dont know it's you and think it's her

Some suggestions. [/list]

Let me give you a more detailed version.
So we were on her bed cuddling and listening to music i don't really remember and I fart, and a few seconds after farting, her cat enters the room. Note that the smell still hasn't surfaced at this point. Right when the odor surfaces her cat jumps on her bed, and she notices the smell. She then gets angry at the cat without a second thought. Her actions seemed very genuine.

    She's not retarded :(
