Buying gifts only for those who are giving gifts

I think it's kind of selfish. I'm buying close friends gifts, just because I want to see them happy, not because I expect any gifts in return. However it is annoying to me when people expect me to get them a christmas gift. I don't have to get you anything at all.

Anyone here actually follow this code?

i don't even give out my name sometimes

it makes it even much more special since they can assume it came from a loved one and that loved one can lie about getting it for them
