Is Nikki Haley really surprised when she represents a party full of racists and xenophobes, and another representative that party says something racist and xenophobic?

Living in NC, I get commercials for SC politicians for some reason. One of them has Nikki Haley talking on a stage, and right after she's done, she shakes everyone's hand in the front row. It looks so fake and unnatural, like she's doing it automatically, which she is obviously--she's a politician. But it just looks so funny.
