why do people get so butthurt over what people on internet forums say

I'm not butthurt, and I'm definitely not saying it so people will start kissing ass for me to stay. I'm probably going to keep lurking at least occasionally, like, forever. But if people want to know why I don't come around as often and why I don't post, tada.

eh, that's not how it works at all. If I were an attention whore I'd be posting ridiculous things and picking fights and "OMG why is everyone IGNORING ME?!?!?" and stuff. I'd just rather be on a forum where people actually care enough to have a conversation with me? 

Anyway, awards. I've been trying to think of some that don't directly go to one member. The best I could come up with were stuff like:
"User that makes the most out-of-place posts"
"Most annoying" (have we had this one before?)
"Most likely to die young"
"The next user to get a significant other and disappear forever"
"Healthiest Boyager"
