With piracy your money's worth is nothing so you can just give up and not feel like you wasted money.

I actually agree with you, though I don't pirate games, I've played my fair share of ROMs and experienced the same thing as you.

For me, I buy a game and force my way through it even if I'm dragging my feet. It's different if I haven't payed anything for it. Like when I bought Final Fantasy 7 and didn't find it as amazing as everybody else. I didn't have a lot of fun, but I beat the damned thing and got the sense of accomplishment from it.

Then I emulated Final Fantasy 8, got pissed with it a few hours in, and deleted it from my computer. If I'd have bought the game, I'd have forced my way through it like I did FF7.
