They have a right to be upset and unsatisfied with some of the directions Obama's taking, but the way some of them handled themselves there was just ridiculous.

Thus far, Obama's been playing the bipartisan ship card a bit much, being unclear about his details, and still shuffling through the beaurocracy of capitol hill to not create stir. The republicans did a bunch of ridiculous things, which took advantage of Obama's passivity. But in the speech Obama called out republicans just enough to not seem like he's attacking, but enough to apply a balancing force to the republican dickery. I think because of that force, there'll be a shift in popularity for the bill in Obama's favor, because he's decided to fight it.

It's exciting and brilliant.
