Free Wii Internet Channel AND a refund!

So, I got my Wii in February 2008, and when I bought it I immediately checked out the Internet Channel. Well, it cost 500 Wii Points. I bought it because it interested me, and I did not complain that OTHER people got the Internet channel for FREE.

Thus, today I look at my dusting Wii and see that the blue light is a-glowin'. I check and there is a flash update for the Internet Channel. "The Wii has been updated to Adobe Flash 8!"Ok... Then it said,"If you bought your Wii after October and the Internet Channel cost 500 Wii Points you will recieve a refund in the form of a free NES game of your choice." WHAT. I have never heard of a video game company doing something like this. I mean I am sure Ninty has money to burn from game sales, but this is just insanely cool of Nintendo.

So yeah, free NES game for me, anyone else eligible, and what NES games are worth buying on VC?

Or is anyone downloading the Internet Channel now that it's free for the first time?

Oh wow that is pretty cool that they are giving away the internet channel again. Back when I had my wii I got the free one or whatever and always thought it was stupid to charge for a web browser.

Probably not; the update specifically says it's just for if you paid for it.

Yeah startropics is insanely amazing. One of the only VC games that I don't regret buying.
