I recall something along the lines of love thy neighbor, but maybe it was suppress everyone that thinks differently than you, I always get those confused.

Listing good things religion has done for society is kind of pointless since there are examples of this in everyday life... Just about anywhere there is a community service organization at work you can bet there is a religious group involved.

Jesus was kind and he spoke of unconditional love but most christians (all but one that I have met) don't live there lives akin to Jesus
