Stupid things that frightened you as a kid

Idk why but when I was little, I was deathly afraid of that tone that goes off after a few moments when the telephone is off the hook. And the woman's voice that said "please hang up and try your call again". It was horrifying.

I was also scared that there was a murderer underneath my bed. I was never afraid of monsters. Just people that would come out and kill me with a knife.

Damn, that scared me.

Oh, and Hexadecimal in Reboot. Most notably at the end of that one episode where she gets a hold of MS Paint.
