Why do people say "eww" or that "Lip Balm is gross?

P.S. I've never used it.

I have Cherry, Citrus, Grape, and Blue Razz Berry flavor Lip Balm giggle;
I had a Regular one, but I don't know where I put it.

They say that towards Lip Balm? I use Carmex. I've never seen anyone disgusted with lip balm.
