- I have Lollapalooza August 6-8, at which I'll seeing the likes of Arcade Fire, The Strokes, MGMT, The Antlers, Spoon, Phoenix, The New Pornographers, The Walkmen, The National, Gogol Bordello, Yeasayer, The Morning Benders, **** Buttons, and many many more.

- Pavement (for the 2nd time) on Sept. 13.
- Titus Andronicus (2nd time), Best Coast (2nd time), Free Energy, and Male Bonding on Sept. 18.
- Broken Social Scene for the 2nd time on Oct. 2.
- Gorillaz sometime in October as well.

and if I can convince the parentals, the Pygmalion Music Festival in Urbana featuring the musical stylings of of Montreal, Built to Spill, Okkervil River, Holy ****, and Ted Leo and the Pharmacists. On my birthday 

and then if tickets aren't too expensive, Belle & Sebastian on Oct. 11.

I would LOVE to see Free Energy. I saw them about half a dozen times back in 2006 or so when they were still Hockey Night. Their new stuff is great, but doesn't match Keep Guessin'.

They are my favorite band, but I suppose you love them more. I would never get the tat.

I saw them the 3rd and 4th of July. It was fantastic, especially the second show, which was probably the best concert I've ever been to. The whole second half was orgasmic bliss.

Also, THS in Minneapolis > THS anywhere else.

oh so yeah i saw Peter Frampton and Yes two nights ago

Steve Howe is still a beast, and i really liked his little acoustic solo bit. Yes mostly stuck to their best-known stuff...Starship Trooper, Roundabout, Owner of a Lonely Heart...but a couple nice surprises from here and there as well, mostly from earlier albums (thankfully). their new vocalist's voice is so accurate it's scary.

Frampton had a good sense of humor, played around with the talkbox a lot and interacted with the crowd a lot more than Yes. it was kinda odd for him to play an instrumental version of Black Hole Sun but it was a nice surprise, but the best moments were, predictably, "Show Me the Way" and "Do You Feel Like We Do?"

all in all, good night. small venue at a winery...the sun was waayyy too bright for some of Frampton's show but once the sun went down it was great.

overall, Yes was completely kickass, Frampton was fairly awesome

Tried to see Medications a few days back, it was 21+. Wanted to go up and see Owen Pallett this weekend, but I'm working. I get Arcade Fire late this weekend, but the seats are terrible. Hard to see the positive, but I'm writing letters to all 7 + others of the band.

No, you're lucky. Now that his main tour's over, Owen's going to drop his pretty solid setlist and start playing the shit from his new 12" that's coming out soon. I'm going to have to drive to fucking Indiana for that tour. And Dirty Projectors too? A person outside of the venue was telling me I should go and I ended up bitching at her about Ohio and how much I loved those two.
