I don't get why people think that just because the media paints Kim Jong-il as this totally crazy bastard (i mean, why would they do that!!!), that means that he's going to start World War 3. The chances of him being stupid enough to nuke another country is actually lower than the chances of a full-scale "aaah everyone's dying" swine flu epidemic to break out.

I always hear "KOREA AND/OR IRAN WITH NUKES? OH NOES WE'RE GONNA GET HIT!". Look at the Cold War and you can see why that's a load of bullshit. Anyone smart enough to get nukes is smart enough to know that if they blow us up, we'll blow them up. The only purpose for nuclear weapons is to give off an image of extreme might, even if we won't use that might.
