The other day

On the way to school, it was dark and rainy. And I saw a raccoon, that was apparently hit by a car, because it's insides were hanging out, and it was crawling across the road.

I felt such a sinking feeling in my stomach. It just totally depressed me.

Post small things that have  made you realize larger things.

well the other day i was headed to school on state road 60 but traffic had slowed down to a crawl
ten minutes or so later i make it up to where some cops had blocked the road and i asked what was going on and he said 'there was a traffic fatality the road is shut down' and i'm like oh huh and turn around and take another route to school and get there half an hour late
later i realized that someone died after decades of life and their impact on my life could be summed up in the 30 minutes it took for me to get to school that day and it made me realize just how undervalued life is

then the next day i read the paper and that fucking asshole cop lied to me there weren't any deaths god shitting damnit i would have gotten to school early if it weren't for that fucking cop liar

I was once sitting on the curb and there was a dead bird between my feet that I hadn't realized until I sat down. Seeing a dead bird isn't a graet thing.

This morning while talking to some friends, one of my friends pulls down another's shirt and she hits him. I laugh, and the teacher makes ME sit down and lectures me about it.

Made me realize my Spanish teacher sucks
