Because there's a large hypocrisy in your being angrily drunk one night and then getting angry at someone who smokes marijuana and ranting about their habit, which, IMO, is far less harmful.

People die from drinking too much, no reported cases of smoking to death.
People become violent angry drunks.  Stoners just sit around and maybe if they commit a crime, it's stealing a bag of cheetos.
My grandmother destroyed her liver, caused a lot of family issues, and and shit with alcohol.
