I got a hold of Lolita, Dr. Strangelove, Barry Lyndon, Eyes Wide Shut, and Spartacus. I've already seen 2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, The Shinning and the first half of Full Metal Jacket (I don't know why I haven't finished it.)

I still have all his movies from the 50s to get a hold of and watch, Fear and Desire, Killer's Kiss, The Killing, and Paths of Glory. I haven't heard much about these because of course they're old and no one seems to enjoy movies other than recent ones.

What do you think of his movies? Any suggestions on which to watch first?

sans culottes

I love Stanley Kubrick, but I still need to watch a lot of his films. Dr. Strangelove is hella awesome.
I support BUSH

uh what

paths of glory is usually held in the higher hierarchy of kubrick movies

i also think it's his second best movie

Well what I meant is the people I talk to, not the general sea of people.

Anyways I'll watch Path of Glory

also spartacus is really mediocre

it's the least kubrickian film of them all

mostly because it was basically kirk douglas's movie

russell

the famous ones are all amazing, in a completely unique Kubrick way that I wish more directors were inspired by these days

LCK

My friend just let me borrow Full Metal Jacket and I can't wait to watch it.

The first half I've seen, it's pretty fucking awesome.

Haven't seen the second half all the way through.
