The Hand That Fisted Everyone

I was watching The Colbert Report the other night, and they had a guest up there talking about engineering bacteria into an alternative fuel. You can watch the video on http://colbertnation.com. I don't know whether it was just the way the guy presented himself, but this really had me sold on this particular idea.

I mean, I'm no engineer or whatever by any means so I don't understand the various difficulties we would have on the course of this getting approved, but this seems like the best idea out of any. Not only that, but it could also be used as a cure for Malaria.

Also, I'm not sure if it's the same organization or not but here's an article talking about a company called LS9 that are doing the same thing.

On that same article you can find a link comparing different alternative fuel sources to bacterial fuel.

Discuss different options for alternative fuels/bacteria fuel.

there was something in Popular Science about using algae to make biofuel. it grows on CO2. put it next to a factory or energy plant. there you go.
