Look, there's plus and minus buttons at the bottom of the post text box. I actually use it once in a while but I doubt many others do.
-Notify me of replies [to this post/thread]
There's a good reason nobody opts to get emails every single time a post is made
-Don't use smilies (in post page Additional Options)
You have to click a button to show it so nobody notices it, pretty much
-Linking a topic to the calendar
As far as I know, it's been only done twice: load of shi day and something about JMV and Lawlz in June

They aren't necessary because any decent browser (ie, ANYTHING WEBKIT BASED) just lets you drag the box to be larger anyways.
