So when I went home for Thanksgiving a couple weeks ago, I saw everything in my house with a different perspective since I had not been there in so long. My cats seemed different, my room seemed bigger than I remember, and most strangely of all, I could not recognize myself in any of the pictures hanging around the house. It honestly felt like I was looking at someone else's childhood. Then yesterday I was going through my facebook pictures, and anything taken more than fours months ago also seemed completely foreign to me. I don't even see a resemblance to my current self anymore. Ages 0-10, 11- 14, 15-18, and my present self all seem like completely separate people...

Has anyone ever experienced a sensation like this or does anyone have a possible explanation for me feeling this way? I never used to feel this way...

Daddy

Well you guys pointed it out too.

Even at beginning of my freshman year of college I looked around 14 or 15. Somehow, a year later I look a lot older.  baddood;

I guess because not being in the same situation for a while lets you adapt and mature more.

Yeah, but do you feel related to the kid in those old pictures of you, or is it impossible to remember being like that?

ME##

I feel like that when I see pictures of myself when I was a baby and a little kid, especially when I notice how thin I was when I was little.

That's how I feel for 11-14/15... except I used to be kind of chubby during that time

Sam

When I was little I looked like the Olsen twins.

Edit: haha, woops.

...and woops again

Anyway, I've really only made some gradual changes to my appearance over the years. My boobs pretty much just haven't grown, so that's not much. I'm short, so that's not much. I started caring more about how I look a few years ago, and since then my appearance has kinda changed quite a bit, but it's still extremely easy to see the resemblance.

I dunno, I feel like I look the exact same with little tweaks here and there.

Youngest "recent" picture I can find of me:

1.8mb is too huge for a sig nigga

superclucky

I experience this 4-5 times a week.

I'm like, whoa am I even at the correct house.

kewns are smelly

Claquesous

This does not happen to me, because for some reason I can actually remember taking the picture. Like that one when I was like 3 with a Mickey Mouse shirt on or the 3rd grade picture where I had a watch on and was leaning against that handrail.

Hippopo

PHILOSOPHY!!!  giggle;

The enduring-self always fascinates me. The body changes, our beliefs change, even our mind can change, yet we always seem to hold on to our identity.  I've always been me even though I'm definitely not the same as when I was two years old. So what keeps me me?

There are SO many theories.  Some say the body, but I think bodies change too much to keep a stable identity.  Others say the mind and personality, but again, that changes too...

Locke says it the conscience.  The fact that you can remember the past connects you to it.  So even though you change, you are still the same person...  Ohmigoose! :O

You don't have school pictures or anything?
I have the BEST senior ID, I guarantee it!  I was in a dress when I took it. I look like a really funky chick.
