A very short story, and kinda stream-of-consciousness like, but I thought the dream was pretty interesting, at least to me.

Read if u please...

I awoke to slowly fading daylight. It is the weekend, and I have invited a few friends over. My sister, who is here for some reason, yells, and I answer the door. A few more people than expected walk into the house. I sit on the couch in my family room and see across to the left of me and see her. She does something she has never done before. She looks into my eyes and stays there. Our vision becomes entangled in the apparently shrinking distance from me to her. I cannot look away. I know I should keep looking. I am trying to captivate her with my gaze, but she has already done the same to me. She then blinks slowly, and the connection is lost. She yawns, and says that was a long yawn, and laughs. I am confused.

Somehow the night quickly passes, and all of a sudden the house transforms. I feel like I am in a completely different location. Wait, I am at my friend's house. All of a sudden there is something in the basement. Before I can even blink everyone has ran, including her. I run outside into the darkness to get to my car, but I see my sister driving away through the front lawn with it. I desperately run to bang on the trunk so she will notice me. I flail my arms around. Of course I cannot move quickly, I feel like I am running through 3 feet of water. She is gone, just like that. The car quickly speeds down the road. I turn around and fall on my back. A huge menacing creature in black slowly lashes out at me with a knife, and I lose consciousness.

I have had several dreams that involve that sensation of running through water. I thought I was the only one who experienced something like that though. I have to tell you though, I can top your dream. Do you wish to hear it?

The dreams starts off with me sitting in my grandparents living room. On the table in front of me there is a Nintendo Gamecube hooked up to a large projector flashing on the wall. My friend LRH inserts his Legend Of Zelda master disk into the console and fires up Wind Waker. By this point, we have entered the game, but this doesn't seem out of the ordinary to anyone seeing as this is a dream. Anyway, LRH and I are accompanied by random quest buddies on flying dragons. We soar through the clouds to reveal a mountainous landscape. I notice a jump in the frame-rate, and ask myself how the Gamecube is able to render all of this at the same time. We fly down towards a river, which was followed by some mild texture pop-in, and one of our quest buddies invites us to see and easter egg that he found. We follow him into a cave-like side path of the river, where we see a small hut supported by four small planks. We look around to the open window of the hut to see kid-Link lime dancing in his empty room, and one of us decides to shoot him with a crossbow. Link spouts a funny catch-phrase, so we do it again. Unfortunately, he only loops two catch phrases so we got bored. Before we leave, LRH spots adult Link on the top of the hut. The quest buddy who led us on to this said he hadn't seen it before, so we decide to shoot him. To our surprise, he dies, and then he falls off of the hut. We decide to high tail it as not to get in trouble.

The next part of the dream puts all of us into an outdoor factory where we must melt down large, oddly shaped pieces of metal to make a robot designed to defeat an unknown antagonist. No one seemed to have a problem with the fact that no one knew who he was. Anyway, after many ours of metal work, our final product comes out. It is a small Star Wars Lego set. This doesn't seem to bother anyone at all, so we take it to get it approved by the project director. To get to the director, we had to ride in a kiddy roller-coaster designed to look like a dragon, and by this time all of the surrounding buildings are made of giant Legos. We finally reach the director and hand him the Lego set, he tells us that we did a great job and tells us to come back later.

I come out of the game to find I am in the basement of a house I have never been, and I am staring at a projector screen flashing blue. I am sitting next to my girlfriend of the time, and LRH is behind the couch facing a wall pushing buttons on his controller. I decide that I'm done with this and disappear under the covers of a blanket with my girlfriend.

THEN I WOKE UP

Here's one from last night.

I'm sitting in my kitchen. I'm staring down at a plate of scrambled eggs, which I haven't touched. I look up: my mom is walking into the room. Her arms have been cut off at the elbow.

"The doctors are going to put me together again," she says.
