so I bought three books on half.com last week, and just got them all in the mail today.

there's a short story collection by J.G. Ballard, Martin Amis's autobiography memoir thing, and a book by Will Self.

so I picked up the Martin Amis one and flipped through it.

then I looked at the J.G. Ballard one

then I read the back of the Will Self one, which has a comment BY MARTIN AMIS that says "if JG BALLARD and david lodge got together it'd be this book"
