Something that pisses me off and is a bit hurtful.

I really get annoyed, and a bit hurt, when people get on me about not working. The constant "you're so lazy", "get off your ass like everyone else", "why don't you get a job?" comments don't help; they're insensitive and make it worse.

It's not that I'm lazy that I don't work.  I can't.  I've tried.  It's not that simple.  I've filled out applications and have been flat out rejected or never called back.  I've been to interviews and was so nervous that I fucked it up and didn't get the job. I've been turned down, ignored, or otherwise not hired at least 50 times in the last 2 years.

It's not simple for me to just get up and bring myself to an interview, to ask for an application and talk to the person in charge, or think about having to go in and risk fucking up.

I saw comments like this on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/7cwe8/joined_the_army_at_17_fought_in_afghanistan_when/c06br4b
They fail to realize that something is wrong, in that kid's case Post Traumatic Stress. For me, severe anxiety related issues.
I'm not lazy, it's a real problem and I really wish my family members would take the fucking time to understand that instead of making me feel like complete shit for insulting me for not working.

I think I know who this is, and I'm very sorry people say awful things like that to you.  :(

You're an amazing person, I just know it. It's all about baby steps. Someday you'll get your break.

Damn, man I've been trying to get a job too, and I've filled out applications sent them in and gotten no response except my mom telling me I need a damn job.

AAARRRG it's frustrating,  :(

I think some of it is all about meeting the right people as well. Don't forget that they would be nervous too because they're considering a new employee. You just have to keep trying and you'll eventually get in there. Try asking some advice from people you know if you can. See what they can do to help you.
