I misunderstood and thought you meant it was 50-60  at this moment, and I thought it ridiculous to be wearing a jacket in that weather, let alone be cold.

I'm used to the north of England, where things are cold and extremely wet. Now I'm at University in the south, and it's extremely dry, but is making up for it with cold.
I mean, it's still autumn and the temperature is already below freezing. I feel like I'm in Canada or something.
