...your real talent or calling in life is different from what you've thought it was all this time? I've often wondered if I actually have a natural talent that I'll never discover or if I'd be better off doing something other than writing. Maybe there's something that makes me happier that I'll never have the pleasure of knowing.

You guys ever wonder about this?

Something like the grass is greener on the other side? I do it all the time. I did find Australia is better than here.   I should of been born there.

I find it interesting how people consider you good at things you think you suck at. And I don't mean the polite "Oh that's really good".

I think this is a really great way to look at that.

I would probably rather do something that makes me happy than something I am naturally good at though I would imagine more often than not the two go hand in hand. I am good at being present and existing but I am not really good at much else but I am happy anyways.
the book of right on

Classic

It turns out I'm talented in writing and music.

Yes, I just do not even know anymore. I used to have this whole plan set out, but looking at it now, realistically, it just will not ever happen.

Selkie

Of course

That's why I think grade school should put a lot more focus on talents and stuff to tyr and help kids find their before it's too late to go anywhere with it.

My English teachers say I write well, but I always shrug off their praise as incidental.

My English teacher said that my essay for the final was good last semester, but I just shrugged it off lol.

I generally shrug off any teacher's compliments unless it's more of a serious talk about my "talents." I had some pretty good conversations with college professors like that.
