Meh you might as well just play the 2nd one then, you didn't miss much and anything you did miss is just confusing and ends up being not important to the story.

I have never finished a Metroid Prime game.  The 2D ones in my opinion are easy and very enjoyable.

I have never finished a Grand Theft Auto game.   I came close with San Andreas, maybe if I ever invest in Grand Theft Auto IV I'll be able to complete it.
