I can, actually. My regular singing voice is pretty deep but using the falsetto technique I can sing higher than some girls. It's also handy for imitating Mario and Mickey Mouse.

If I put on earbuds and set my zen on random, eventually I'll loosen up. It can take an hour, though...I usually end up switching to something specific, usually Arcade Fire, SOAD, Muse, or Venetian Snares if I seriously need to vent.
