Just because you write more than a paragraph does not mean it actually brings any serious discussion. Here's the thing, will the topic actually feature discussion or will it feature people going 'oh my gawd that's so sad' or 'omg u kik his ass', it's not Serious Discussion. If you're writing about someone dying, it doesn't have to go into Serious Discussion. For some reason, I doubt anyone's going to write 'lol ur dad's dead' in The Lobby. 

Take the general discussion in The Lobby, not Serious Discussion.

I would normally, too. People have a hard time telling when I'm joking or not.
