Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

DAM JEWS RUNIN' ALL THE FUN

Palestine has the right to not give a shit about the Jews' holocaust problems enough to fight for the land.

That's not the problem. The Jews believed that God had given them the land that is now Israel. For hundreds upon hundreds of years, they were scattered from that land because of they were simply chased out or could not tolerate constant oppression, especially during the time of Roman rule in Jerusalem. By the time they got it back, which was a while after World War II, that land was inhabited by Arabs, pretty much all of whom were also Muslim. Though the Muslims left and allowed the Jews to settle back into their old home, they sure as hell don't like the idea of Jews inhabiting what was also Arab land for quite some time.

Of course, what's more important than the land is the sacrificing rock in the Jerusalem temple. It was originally Jewish property, of course, but it's also said in Islamic scriptures to be the place where Muhammad ascended into Heaven and spoke to God, and then founded Islam itself. So just that big rock is one of the biggest reasons, if not the biggest reason, for the conflict over Israeli land. That place is sacred to both religions. That's a bit of a problem.

ANYWAY, I'm very sorry again for your loss, Lozal. It seems like religious things get in the way of other important things all the time...it really sucks you couldn't go. Funny thing is, the reason my dad isn't coming to my graduation is because it's on a Sunday, and he says he can't miss church.
