College life for me next year, but this summer I was in dorms at Liberty U. for Boys State and had two room mates. One was literally like 4 foot, and I gave him the top bunk. O_o The other was a druggie and he talked about it till midnight every night. Also, for half the week I didn't have a door.

It depends on the college. Some colleges have a handful of single dorm rooms that you can enter yourself in a "raffle" type thing for, and if you're lucky you get one.

That's what I have, it's called a suite. I wanted to stay in a regular dorm, but all the buildings filled up. I'll still be in a building with thousands of college kids though, so it's basically the same with a little more space
