Why not? I'm from a fairly rough neighborhood in which a large majority of the community members know me, so it's not as if anybody there will try anything funny. I've never come into confrontation over any personal belongings, so I guess I'm just not afraid of someone trying to rob me. I also like to treat myself to the finer things on impulse, so it is necessary for me to have the funds available. And even if someone does rob me, what I'm carrying in my wallet is a drop in the bucket compared to what I have in my bank account.
