I was 3 or 4, and my dad took me to see it, that fact seems sort of funny now when I think about it. Even though I was young I'll never forget the sigh of those three men just dangling there on the steps of the ministry building.

What a difference in cultures.  :(  Despite your tragic childhood, you seem to be a well adjusted man. Not many I know could live through that and  still be normal.

Compared to mine it is. I'd say compared to most who were raised in the US it is. Not that I had it easy, but I sure didn't have it like that.

The culture was and still is different, however my childhood was pretty ok. I mean the thing's I've seen, experienced, done, learned etc... would probably gross out any American kid nowadays but to me it was normal. I immigrated over when I turned 8 so I was still young and easily adjusted to the new culture here. My parents on the other hand are more old school then me so on a day to day basis it's still a fine balance I must maintain between current and past culture/dogma.

I would be lost as where to even begin combining the two. Or keeping them separate and using the correct one when need be.    befuddlement

And I couldn't fully describe it to you even if I tried. Suffice it to say it's just one of those things you learn as you go.
