Do you know if the storylines are much different or if they're the same basically? Or will I need to watch the anime after I'm done reading the manga?

They're basically the same, but the do differ a bit. I haven't read all of the manga, just bits and pieces, but a friend told me some ofthe diffferences once. From what I can tell, the major difference is that different people are used to represent the different deadly sins.
