also i did discover that there's one guy around here who works on computers and i called him and he said he'd look at it as soon as he can

i was already planning on buying a macbook before next semester but i would like this laptop to last until then

also if this one is still working fine i'll give it to chels since she's pretty much without her own computer

Nope, not under warranty. And about support...well, I'd rather have this guy in town look at it first before bugging Dell ( ) about it. He'll look at it for free and only charge me if he has to get a part or something.
