So is inflate for people that have an ego, or is that deflate? I'm so confused.

Usualy if your inflating someones ego it means they did something good.
Deflating is equal to scorning....
So yeh.

Inflate for good, Deflate for bad.

Wel having a big ego means you think alot of your self.
People like teachers and so on in lower grades put stickerso n tests to say stuff like "good job" or "great work"
Thats to make them feel better about them selfs, AKA... inflating their ego.

having a low ego normaly means you don't think much of your self. edumacate;
I have a huge ego... and yet nearly zero self esteem.
