Yes it is awesome, USN F/A-18E/F's with a USAF B-2 and some F/A-18C/D's in formation always makes my day.  baddood;

The formation itself has no name since it's a display formation, however the two groups of Hornets are in a diamond formation with the B-2 flying spearhead element lead.

I'm having a hard time believing "spearhead element lead" isn't just bullshit anyone could make up that means "in the front"  befuddlement

It's military jargon, for some reason saying "in the front" is too simplistic and not preferred. Element lead is a genuine term for the leader of a formation, usually a small formation. And spearhead just referees to the actual physical locations of the element lead, i.e. the very front.
