So I got a monitor for $5.

Its a flat screen 18 inch with built in speakers. Now I have a couple questions since I know nothing about monitors. So my first question is, is there any type of adapter that I could plug the VGA cable into so I could hook up a DVD or game system to it. Now when I ask that I mean without if being connected to a PC. Also when I hooked it up to my PC I didn't screw in the VGA. I just simply stuck it in there and didn't screw in the two screws on the side. So when the screen turned on it said no signal or something like that. I wasn't thinking, and just saw something on the screen and assumed it worked. So yeah someone anwser those questions.
