School Plays?

Have you even been in any? What show? What grade? Did you suck?

I'm in the pit orchestra for our school play.
Last year we did Peter Pan and I was in the pit. Apparently I am the best clarinet/saxophone in the school.
I am also in it this year, we're doing Beauty and the Beast.
This years music is a lot better.

Yeah, I was in the pit quite a few times over my high school career. I wasn't much a big fan of the whole acting deal but playing tunes down below felt so exclusive. I played classical violin by the way,

I was in my school's Junior High play in 8th grade, in a minor role. It wasn't really that fun. I tried out freshman year, but didn't get a part. All of the theater junkies at my school are assholes, and I don't really like plays that much anyway, unless they're by Arthur Miller or Shaw.

I'd consider playing in the pit, if any of my school's shows had one.

They do a musical and a play each year, but still no pit because my school has awful music programs

In a class I had in elementary (a gifted/talented thingy), we got into groups and wrote a play every year and that did voted on the best and the class got to act it out later in the year at a university or something. I had it in 3rd to 5th grade.
In 3rd, I didn't do a play and I got to go anyway because I was new to the class.
In 4th, I was unable to get one done because the other person in my group was an absolute retard (who got to go anyways because he was new).
And in 5th, I spent two entire class periods (we only got to go once every other week) working on a play based on the Trojan War by myself. It was the only one that didn't look a train wreck in writing and wasn't a generic interview/"talk show" thing involving a famous president, Albert Einstein or Amelia Earhart. It was also 5 pages long, compared to the others' 1.5.

The Amelia Earhart one won the vote. They said mine was too long (the one that one took only 5 minutes, yet one from another school was like 90), and that "Odysseus" and "Agamemnon" were too hard to pronounce.
I got a minor role and only had one sentence.

The teacher said it was great, and that it was on a high school level.
Maybe I should submit it again if I'm ever in a theater class or something.
