I just got home, but the explanation for the extended server downtime is that I got caught up in a police raid and had to erase all traces of my child porn collection, which somehow involved turning off the server.

Actually, some of the other stuff on the server has to do with torrent seeding, and the host didn't like that, so they suspended the account for a bit. It's worked out now.
