So I downloaded grandmaster flash's the message, right?

But I'm just looking for some moar old school rap. I mean like, the early to mid 80s era mainly. Never cared for 90s rap or gangsta rap. Something simple, just plain good times kinds of rap.

o ok

"On the Eve of War" - Jedi Mind Tricks
"Children's Story" - Slick Rick
"One Mic" - Nas
"The Point of No Return" - Immortal Technique

I think the oldest song on there is by Slick Rick, the others are pretty recent.  I'm too lazy to find a good public enemy song to suggest.

yeah i need to listen to some public enemy, i haven't heard much.

i heard nas's song "hip hop is dead" once and it was pretty good.

okay thanks for the help jmv.

Samus Aran

Public Enemy is really all I can recommend.

Houdini

Public Enemy is the best. I saw them live last year, and they rocked the house.

If you want old school ,  you have to get this song. Definitely one of my favorites to listen to with friends.

Run-D.M.C.
Their first four albums are all classics, some of my favorite albums of all time.

Black Sheep's A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing album is another one of my favorites, and you can't go wrong with any other members of the Native Tounges Posse (De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, Jungle Brothers, some others I forget).

Eric B & Rakim's Follow the Leader or Paid In Full are both good albums,  and Public Enemy which has been mentioned and I've told you about already.

There's a shitload of good Jazz hop but I dunno if you want that.
