Also, it depends, in general "Nigga" is used more as a term in association with friendship etc... However "Nigger" is less commonly used unless you really know the person(s) and neither of you care about dumb shit like that. But there are some black people who are too stuck up and will get offended at either when a non black person says them even thought you clearly don't mean them in any offensive way. Words by themselves are meaningless and are not supposed to have connotations.
