When the bears approach close enough, light the rope, which will lead to the can, and explode, spraying shrapnel over the bears, possibly killing one of them or two if you're jesus. Then use the torch to frighten the bear slightly, and use the sharpened stick to possibly stab at the bear, or at least light it on fire, which would now be easier because residue from the bug spray would still be in the air
