I compiled the stats from several sites I've run, and figured out that you'd need about 41,625 unique visitors a day to make $1000/day from ad revenue.

That's a lot... $365,000 a year without considering taxes or hosting or anything.

That said, my goal is to run a site that can make me $500 daily with minimal effort.  caterpie;

20k uniques a day isn't that much if realize the scope of some of the biggest websites in certain markets... think about how much traffic a site like Engadget gets every day, or even a webcomic like marriedtothesea.com. Probably in the hundreds of thousands, possibly millions.

I think my gateway into this grand plan shall be the world of vintage Apple, or vintage Nintendo. I'm good friends with the guy behind vNES, and we've got some ideas.
