But seriously, you guys are lucky to know people that even like anime. I only know a few people who do really watch like the subs and scanlations. It's lonely.

I only had one local friend (not counting Chelsea of course) that liked anime, and he wasn't exactly a major friend or anything. He was pretty fat and geeky yet somehow didn't know anything about 4chan until I showed him and he became cancer. Also he let me borrow his Evangelion and Trigun box sets.

Anime is pretty much a forbidden hobby up here in Minnesota. Almost anything Japanese is considered stupid by most.

Adult Swim is killing anime for the US.  It used to show decent shows like Cowboy bebop and Big O, now it's usually Shonen shit.
