Strange. This is one of the many instances where we have the same thoughts. Watching animu is mainly what I've been doing tonight, trying out some new ones and such.

Well, since you like Cowboy Bebop, it'd be naturally a good idea to try Samurai Champloo. It's similar in several ways, but the biggest one is the fact that it mixes an era of time with a modern music, much like modern jazz in the future for Cowboy Bebop. For Samurai Champloo, though, it's hip-hop in the Edo period of feudal Japan. The same guy who produced Bebop also did Champloo, and the guy who voiced Spike also voices Mugen (main character in Champloo).

Not nearly as good as Bebop, but still worth a watch.

I also suggest Paranoia Agent and Gunslinger Girl.

Samurai Shampoo is highly unentertaining. it seemed like it was more designed for those naruto fanatics or rigatoni kenshin or whatever

BUT YES, THAT PARANOIA AGENT THING WAS FAIR. I watched it out of sheer boredom and hated it, but then it as just okay. Still, I want a working Lupin the Third torrent over anything. :'(

It's kind of a space-western, like Firefly (not animu, but check it out anyways because it kicks ass) or Cowboy Bebop.

I second this. Though I haven't seen it myself, I've heard it's similar to Cowboy Bebop, and that's always a recipe for success.

I'd also suggest Trigun. The only thing that bugs me about Trigun is when Vash gets all whiny and has that stereotypical nervous animu boy thing going on.

I'm watching this animu called Monster. It's one of those thinker animus rather than action.
I'm only 20 eps in, but it's good. It starts off really really slow though. Picks up around ep. 10.

Texhonolyze is a lot like that. Moves so god damn slow, but it's good.

I'd suggest, but meh. I don't watch the ones most people do.
