So this morning, I thought I died

I left my bedroom to go into my other room to grab a pair of boxers, and when I turned the light on, there was a massive burst of blue. I thought, "Oh god, something just shot through the window and killed me." At the same time, I also thought "I've just ben killed by lightning." After about 5 seconds, I realized I was still alive and my light just blew out. It's suspended 15 feet above me and we have no ladder, so it looks like I'm sitting in the dark until December.
