it's about average today but you could get a powerful desktop for a fair price and a laptop with equal power would be almost twice the price

no, i'm saying cs3 is meant for professionals; not just anyone who's able to pirate it needs it or would even be able to make decent use of what it offers (which isn't really that much special in the case of photoshop; however, the good cmyk support and 16-bit etc. color depths are essential for said professionals)
