Is there some household item that works to ease the pain of burns?  Cuz like, I know that a certain steak sauce helps with scorpion stings but is there anything for burns?

No, you retard. That will make it worse.
But it actually soothes it for me.

Who told you that putting butter on it helps to improve it?

My uncle said to do it, my mother said it makes it worse.

I've put it on every burn I've ever had, and I only have one very faint scar from when my skin melted as a result of touching one of the orange thingies in an oven whilst removing chicken. It soothed it, and it's barely visible. It works for me, so why stop using it?

I burned my thumb the other day with the metal part of a lighter. And it just hurts for a min. maybe put some  Noxzema, or toothpaste, something with menthol on it to cool it down. Good luck bro. nigro;
