Covering the bases, I know everyone will mention Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, etc.

Few comments:
Muse kicks ass.
In The Rainbows is overrated and a snooze fest half the time.
Exile On Main St. is the last Rolling Stones album I really like (everything before kicks ass as well) and It's Only Rock n Roll (But I Like It) is the last Rolling Stones song I really like.
