ff13 is definitely a good game and i really enjoyed its battle system as well

and the linear nature is more like an annoyance than an actual hindrance because it works for this particular game.

but it has other glaring issues that bug the fuck out of me, namely how convoluted and dumb its story is. once you beat it, you'll realize the game didn't answer half your questions.

it's hope and vanille that are completely intolerable

and yeah i mean when i say dumb and convoluted i mean even more so than a typical jrpg. i still have understanding of the motivation behind the bad guys' actions.
